Edna Lewis: Menu Trail Orange, VA

Celebrating the late Grande Dame Of Southern Cooking, Edna Lewis, through food and community! Edna Lewis, Born in Orange County, Virginia, was a renowned American chef, teacher and author who helped refine the American view of southern cooking. Her biography is amazing and such a fun and inspiring read that you can read HERE. You’ll quickly see why the community of Orange put together the Edna Lewis Menu Trail celebrating the 50th anniversary of her first cookbook, The Edna Lewis Cookbook, written in 1972.

Several Virginia restauranters in the Orange county community of Virginia are participating int he Edna Lewis Menu Trail, each featuring one of her recipes. Below is a list of all of the participating restaurants. Make sure to get out there soon to taste a piece of history, and legacy - The Edna Lewis Menu Trail is ending May 2023. (But I am voting that the menu trail continue indefinitely to continue the celebration of this amazing woman!).
