Courts Kitchen: charcuterie trays to graze tables

Leveling up charcuterie trays and graze tables - Courtney Simpson is the designer and chef behind these magical and tasty displays. Seriously, they are drool-worthy from the creative display to how they taste! BUT before we get into what Courts Kitchen is all about and these amazing, gorgeous boards and graze tables… Let’s dive into who this incredible lady is behind the biz…

“Courtney is a Virginia native and entrepreneur.  Through the course of raising a large family, she always found herself in the kitchen looking for ways to cook creatively!  She became well known amongst friends and family for her culinary skills.  In 2018, through a meal exchange at her local gym, friends began asking Courtney to help with healthy meal preparation.  And so… Court’s Kitchen was born! You can still find Court in the kitchen most days, but now she is working on a new niche of charcuterie and catering events.  She is committed to presenting a beautiful and personalized experience with any service she provides.  Court makes sure to add a special touch and lots of love to anything she creates!”

We were so intrigued by Courtney that we wanted to learn more - so we sent over some interview questions and her answers did not disappoint! We are sure you will fall head over heels for her, just like we did! Enjoy our impromptu interview:

- What is your top selling product? My top-selling product is definitely Whipped Feta!  It has its own following!  I make it by the gallon weekly and I do not think there is any event I cater that this dip is not requested!  Even people who do not love feta, fall in love with this dip!  It is a savory dip with delicious garlic and Mediterranean seasonings topped with a hot honey drizzle that makes it truly unique!

- What is your favorite charcuterie board? I love creating themed boards to go with every holiday!  Last year's Hocus Pocus themed Halloween board was so much fun and it turned out better than I even imagined!

- Are there any items on your menu that are top-secret, passed down for generations type of recipe? I rarely follow a recipe, but instead, enjoy taking a recipe or idea and putting my own spin on things!  I definitely do not gatekeep so if anyone ever wants to try a recipe - I will happily share!

- What's your favorite tool in your kitchen? My favorite kitchen tool is definitely my food processor!  That thing pumps out gallon after gallon on whipped feta for me week after week!

- Is there a certain genre of music or artist you love listening to when you are "in production mode"? I am a crime junkie through and through!  So while I prepare your beautiful charcuterie spread, you better believe I am listening to some crazy murder mystery podcast!

I love capturing the human and their story behind the business so much so that this is where I wanted to start this article because in the end it is who we are, our life experiences and our own creative outlook on life that births such beautiful businesses - and luckily for Virginia this lady built her business right here!

Now THE BIZ…. Courts Kitchen - the art of designing the most amazing charcuterie boards and graze tables! Court’s Kitchen’s main focus is now to provide charcuterie, small bites and dessert options for events in Culpeper, Virginia and surrounding areas. Something else we are also loving are Court’s grazing boxes great for a romantic picnic on the-go or gifting. It is more than “just food” - it is a beautiful small bites presentation - each box is presented with delicious meats, cheeses and produce and includes all the accouterments, crackers and serving utensils. “Everything is freshly prepared with love and care!” One thing that caught my eye was a mini wine charcuterie and dessert box that slips right over a bottle of wine or champagne - such a fun way to elevate gifting champagne (pair it with one of these Virginia sparkling wines) and a bottle of wine.

Here are all the ways to contact Court for catering, charcuterie, small bites or gift giving with her graze boxes:
